73 ‘Til Infinity: Unity in community
Back for the 2nd year, 73 'Til Infinity is part dance show, part block party inspired by Hip-Hop and Street Dance cultures. Featuring an eclectic mix of dance performances, cyphers and battles with sounds provided by DJ's The Brown Brothers, DJ Fazooli, Onglish & DJ Realistic, and live musical performances from Lex Leosis, Stealth Elementz, Tarek Funk, S.O.A.P and soul funk band Soulquarium, 73 'Til Infinity will once again bring the vibe of a classic block party to Hamilton's downtown core.
This is a FREE event for all ages presented by the City of Hamilton curated and organized by Josh Taylor & Defining Movement Dance.

The Sneaker Ball: Club DMD Family Edition
Get dressed up as we have a little party to cap off a beautiful season of dance, creativity, culture and community. We’ll have a live DJ, refreshments, snacks, some battles, as well as a few studio awards. There's only one catch, you gotta wear your favourite or freshest sneakers!

Join us for our annual year-end show as we celebrate our 2023/24 season, our dancers, community and their artistry, victories and growth! We're also celebrating DMD’s 15 year anniversary! From the littles, to the grown-ups, with some special guests too, it's a show 15 years in the making.

Hamilton Screen Dance Night: Viewing Party and Social
A viewing party featuring a collection of short dance films created by local artists, followed by a community social. Hosted and produced by Angela Josephine in collaboration with us at DMD, come through and enjoy dance in a different medium!

SAMPLES: AN EVENING OF DANCE
On Sunday, March 24th at 730pm, come out to a dance show presented by our studio director Josh Taylor at Theater Aquarius in Hamilton ON. This show features DMD artists plus local and surrounding area dance artists of various disciplines coming together to explore and celebrate the technique of sampling in music, especially used in Hip-Hop and R&B.

Some folks come + throw down. Some folks use material from class. Some folks chat. Some folks 2 step. And others do a mix. There's not one right way to be here (other than kind and 19+).
